uPVC Windows & Doors
Preparation and Masking
Firstly we remove old silicone or apply new trim, then mask anything that isn’t being sprayed. This ensures that the glass, walls and anything else nearby are protected from overspray.
We then remove all opening sashes on windows, and/or all door furniture to ensure a factory finish over the full surfaces. Then we clean and key the surfaces ready for painting.
Now we mix our specialist 2K paint and ready our equipment. Now we are ready to blow out any dust and debris and start the spraying.
Spraying, Drying & Re-Fitting
We apply 3 coats of paint to the removed sashes first, then to the rest of the frames. This gives the sashes more to dry before handling during the refitting.
We then do a quality check before de-masking openings and sashes. The sashes are then re-fitted and the rest of the masking is removed.
Once dry enough we will apply a new colour-matched sealant if we haven’t replaced the trim. After 1-2 hours the windows can be closed and used as normal.
Aftercare & Cleaning
Now your windows are looking brand new, its worth keeping them that way! We recommend allowing 7 days curing time for the paint before having a window cleaner out.
Your window cleaner can use the pure water systems for the glass, this is ideal for the uPVC frames too. Solvent cleaning products must be avoided – most Eco-friendly waterborne detergents are fine.
When regularly maintained, the coating on your uPVC has an expected lifespan of 12-15 years! To view samples at our showroom please get in touch!
Doors & Garage Doors
Preparation and Masking
Firstly we mask anything that isn’t being sprayed. This ensures that the glass, walls and anything else nearby is protected from overspray.
We then remove all door furniture to ensure a factory finish over the full surface. Then it’s time clean and key the surfaces ready for painting.
Now we are ready to finalise the masking, creating a booth in the doorway to ensure the area inside the property is 100% free from overspray.
Spraying, Drying & Re-Fitting
We apply 3 coats of paint to the door ensuring maximum protection and a long-lasting finish.
We then do a quality check before allowing 1 hour to dry. We are then able to de-mask and re-fit the door furniture.
Once dry we recommend you leave it ajar for 1 hour to allow sufficient curing to avoid marking the door on the frame. The process takes 2-3 hours in total.
Aftercare & Cleaning
Now your door is looking brand new, its worth keeping it that way! Allow 7 days for full curing of the coating before cleaning your door.
Solvent cleaning products must be avoided – most Eco-friendly waterborne detergents are perfectly fine. If ever in doubt, a mild soapy mix in warm water is ideal.
When regularly maintained, the coating on your composite door has an expected lifespan of 12-15 years!
Kitchens & Cabinetry
Preparation and Masking
Firstly we remove all doors, drawer fronts and any other removable items that would be awkward to spray in-situ. This can include shelves, plinths, pelmets and cornices if necessary. These are numbered and taken to our workshop.
Back on site, we mask the whole kitchen, ensuring the floor, walls and internals of the cupboards are protected from overspray. This can take a full day – anything you may need for a couple of days should be taken out prior to our arrival.
Once masked we de-grease and prepare the surfaces that are to be sprayed. This includes silicone removal, filling and sanding of damaged areas. The room is sealed off where possible. We are then ready to apply 1-2 coats of primer.
The same process is applied to the doors back at the workshop. We are also able to fill handle holes if new ones are of different sizes or styles, as well as grain filling and vinyl wrap removal – these are at an additional cost.
Once primed the doors and carcass are sanded again, to ensure a nice smooth finish before we are ready to apply topcoats. We vacuum all surfaces and wipe them clean before we spray.
Due to the nature of the products we use – there is a lot of dust created during the spraying process. We try to ensure the carcass spraying is all completed on-site in one day. We contain the area as much as possible to minimise this.
Spraying, Drying & Re-Fitting
We then apply 2 topcoats – allowing the first to dry before doing a quality check and applying the second. Each coat takes 15-30 minutes to dry. Once complete we are able to de-mask and clean up on-site.
The doors are again given the same treatment, before being allowed to cure overnight. We then safely wrap the removed items and bring them back for refitting.
Once on, we then fit the handles and re-apply any sealant that was removed with clear or white silicone. Your kitchen is now ready for use. This process takes between 4-10 days depending on the size of the kitchen.
Aftercare & Cleaning
Now your kitchen is looking brand new, it’s worth keeping it that way! Allow 7 days for full curing of the coating before cleaning. Ensure any oil or grease is wiped at the earliest possibility during this period.
Solvent cleaning products must be avoided – most Eco-friendly waterborne detergents are perfectly fine. If ever in doubt, a mild soapy mix in warm water is ideal. Avoid bleach on painted surfaces where possible.
When looked after and regularly maintained, the coating on your kitchen has an expected lifespan of 5-8 years! This can then be re-coated down the line in the same or alternate colours.
