Door Spraying

Having your UPVC door sprayed is a cost-effective alternative to replacing it. The process revives the look of the UPVC door without the need for messy building works or the cost of a brand-new door set. This is an ideal solution if your existing door is in good condition but you require a colour change, or your composite door has faded and just needs reviving.

No, the paint will not flake or peel off of the UPVC. We use a specialist 2K product which has different properties to standard paints. This industrial coating is suitable for spraying onto uPVC, composite, fibreglass and metal surfaces. The expected lifespan of the coating is 10 to 15 years.

Not at all. Having your front door sprayed he’s a fast and cost-effective solution that avoids any messy building works. The spraying process is extremely controlled with absolutely minimal overspray. Our masking process contains any overspray which is then all removed and disposed of at the end of the job. We always ensure the site is left as tidy as it was when we arrived if not even more so!

All we require is access to power (electric socket) and that any obstructions are removed from the immediate area such as plant pots or garden statues. We do not require any cleaning or preparation to the door prior to arrival, this is all done by our on-site operatives. We will require access to the property as we need the door slightly ajar for the whole process.

The paint takes under one hour to go touch dry and 2 to 4 hours to fully harden. We usually ask you to leave the door ajar for another hour after we have completed and left the job. This is sufficient time to allow the door to dry hard enough to then be closed without marking the surface on the surrounding door frame seal.

The coating has an expected lifespan of 10 to 15 years. This can be maximised with regular cleaning and ensuring any abrasive debris is not left on the surface for long periods of time. Areas of harsher environmental impact such as southern-facing or coastal properties are subject to increased exposure to heat and salt air which can impact the lifespan of the product. This would still be expected to last at least 8 to 12 years.

We are able to fit new handles letterboxes and other door furniture as long as it is a like-for-like replacement. We are not able to fit different-sized door furniture where drilling would be required. We would recommend that any new items that require professional fitting is completed prior to my arrival.

The price to spray a composite door starts from £295.00. This may increase if the old coating is flaking off and requires stripping, or if there are moving panels which require removing and refitting during the process.

Composite doors should only be painted with 2K products. Any other products used on these tend to fail very quickly, including standard oil-based undercoat and gloss systems.
